News and institutional notices

This page carries the institutional notices of The Global Risks Forum (GRF): decisions about its councils, dialogues and governance of the Nexus Universe programme, changes to its own rules, and corrections. Each notice is published only when a record supports it, and states what changed, who decided it and where the record sits. A notice is information. It never confirms an event, a host or an appointment that is not on record, and it never invites registration for a service that is not yet open.

01What qualifies

What GRF publishes as a notice.

A notice reports a decision or a change in GRF's own responsibilities. It is written so that a reader can trace it to a record and hold GRF to it.

Governance

Rules and policies

The adoption or revision of council rules, terms of reference and GRF's own policies on independence, conflicts and safeguarding, once a record of adoption exists.

Programme

Nexus Universe decisions

Recorded programme decisions, such as the authorisation of an edition at gate G0, a mission call or a publication authorisation. Nothing is announced before the gate record exists.

Corrections

Corrected public claims

A correction to something GRF published, with the earlier version kept and the reason stated, following the route on corrections and concerns.

Service status

Services that open

A change in what is open beyond the current service level, R0, information and enquiries, for example when applications open with their terms and review capacity in place.

What this page leaves to others.

Commentary on world events, negotiations or other institutions' decisions is not published as news. For the status of international instruments, see the dated tables on risk governance pages, which link to the issuing bodies.

05Anatomy of a notice

What every notice contains.

  1. 01

    Subject and record date

What the notice is about, and the date of the record it reports, not only the date it was posted.

  2. 02

    The decision or change

What was decided or changed, by whom, and under which GRF instrument or rule.

  3. 03

    The source record

Where the record sits: an adopted rule, a gate record, a dialogue record or a correction log, linked where it is public.

  4. 04

    What it does not mean

One plain sentence on the limits, for example that a mission call is not admission or that a proposal is not a confirmed host.

  5. 05

    How to raise a concern

The route for challenging the notice, which is open to anyone without membership or payment.

06What you will not find

Announcements that GRF does not make.

  • Events, dates or venues without a host decision and an edition record; see the events and dialogue calendar for how events are listed.
  • Names of hosts, sponsors or partners without their written permission and a current record.
  • Counts of members, participants, countries or results that no record supports.
  • Statements made on behalf of a government, an intergovernmental body or another institution.
  • Promotional material for third parties, products or services.

GRF does not regulate, finance, procure or certify. A notice about a dialogue, an exercise or a council is never a regulatory statement, an approval or an endorsement.

09Questions

Questions and answers.

Why are there so few notices?
GRF publishes a notice only when a record supports it. The programme currently operates at service level R0, information and enquiries, so most decisions that would produce notices, such as edition authorisations or council constitutions, are not yet on record.
Is an event mentioned elsewhere confirmed by GRF?
Only if GRF has published it with a host decision and an edition or dialogue record. A date or venue that appears elsewhere without that record is not confirmed by GRF.
What happens when a notice is wrong?
It is corrected as a recorded new version that states what changed and why. The earlier version is kept, so a correction is never a silent edit.
Will GRF send me notices by email?
Enquiries are never used for marketing. If a notification service is introduced, this page will describe it with its own consent terms before anyone is added to it.
The Global Risks Forum

Start with an enquiry.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
