Reports and publications relationship
Nexus Reports is one governed publication programme shared across Nexus Consortiums: quarterly country editions, an annual flagship and specialist series. The Global Risks Forum (GRF) contributes to it from its side of the programme: leadership and dialogue findings, governance analysis and the outcomes of the Nexus Universe programme it governs. Reports are released after review, not to meet event deadlines, and a report planned is not a report released. This page explains what GRF contributes, what it does not, and where the programme is described.

The short answer.
GRF's relationship to Nexus Reports is that of a contributor to the shared publication programme: it brings leadership and dialogue findings, governance analysis and the outcomes of Nexus Universe. Reports are released after review, not to meet event deadlines, and GCRI is the canonical publisher.

One publication programme, several formats.
| Edition | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Q1 · State and Agenda | What matters this year, and what is the starting position? |
| Q2 · Evidence and Build | What new evidence and capability have been developed? |
| Q3 · Stress Test and Readiness | What do scenarios and tests reveal? |
| Q4 · Annual Synthesis and Renewal | What did the year establish, and what changes next? |
The country report family is the Nexus Country Systems Risk and Resilience Report. No edition has been released yet.
The governance chapters of each edition.
- Status of instruments relevant to the edition's theme, dated and cited.
- Records of dialogues and decisions relevant to the theme, with consent.
- Findings from the annual exercises, with their limits.
- Open questions without an owner.
Three kinds of content, labelled.
Scientific findings are GCRI's and keep its evidence labels; governance records are GRF's; financial readings are GRA's and never constitute advice. A reader can see the source institution of every chapter. The programme home is Nexus Reports at GCRI.
What GRF brings to the reports.
Institutional findings
Analysis of mandates, coordination and decision rights relevant to a country's systems.
What institutions agreed
Summaries of dialogue records, with dissent preserved, where participants consent.
Programme outcomes
Universe findings and the next-year mandate, which feed the annual flagship.
What GRF does not decide in the reports.
- Scientific and editorial acceptance sits with qualified, conflict-managed reviewers and the publisher; institutional influence cannot decide a conclusion.
- Finance and insurance relevance is contributed by The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and is never an approval or rating.
- GRF's specialist platforms contribute through their own report pages, such as Governance Nexus reports and Diplomacy Nexus reports.
- Sponsors cannot approve publications or change evidence.
The programme's home.
The Nexus Reports programme is described by The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) on the Nexus Reports programme page. Released reports carry their methods, source and rights register, review and funding disclosures and correction history. Questions about GRF's contributions can go to contact@globalriskforum.com.
Terms used on this page.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Version of record | The fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses. |
| Editorial independence | The condition in which editors decide what is published on the validity and relevance of the work, free from interference by owners, funders or sponsors, as ICMJE and COPE guidance describe it. |
| Living report | A report updated in versions as evidence changes, with each version kept and dated. |
