Insights and resources
This section holds what The Global Risks Forum (GRF) publishes under its own authority: governance papers, institutional analyses, explainers, approved speeches and the lessons GRF draws from dialogues and annual cycles. Every item is designed to carry its author, its review state, its sources and its correction history. Items appear only once released; a planned paper is not a published one. For research and evidence, GRF links to the publishers that hold them, including The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) and the common Nexus Reports programme.

The short answer.
GRF insights and resources are what the Forum publishes under its own authority: governance papers, institutional analyses, explainers, approved speeches and lessons drawn from dialogues and annual cycles. Every item carries its author, review state, sources and correction history, and appears only once released.

Five genres and the standard each meets.
| Genre | Purpose | Review |
|---|---|---|
| Governance paper | Analysis of a governance question with options | External review by at least one independent reader |
| Explainer | Plain-language account of an instrument or process | Accuracy check against the instrument's text |
| Case study | Reconstruction of how institutions governed an event | Factual check by the institutions described |
| Learning note | Lessons from dialogues and exercises | Review by the lesson owners |
| Speech or statement | GRF's own position on its own work | Adopted by the responsible GRF organ |
GRF does not take positions on other institutions' decisions.
Insights explain and analyse; they do not lobby for an outcome in any negotiation or rate any government. Where a paper presents options, it says what evidence supports each and who would decide. Evidence comes from GCRI's Nexus Reports with its labels.
What every item is designed to state.
Who wrote it and for whom
Authors, the publishing institution and any funder are named. Sponsors cannot approve publications or change evidence.
How far it has been checked
Draft, reviewed or released, with the review route used. Speeches are labelled as the speaker's views.
What changed and why
A correction creates a recorded new version, never a silent edit.
What a GRF publication is not.
- It is not a regulatory interpretation, a rating or a certification of any institution.
- It is not investment, legal or financial advice; finance-readiness questions are led by The Global Risks Alliance (GRA).
- A dialogue record states what participants agreed. An analysis states GRF's view. The two are never presented as each other.
Released items appear as they are published.
No GRF publication is listed in these collections yet. Items are added on release, with their review state. Questions about a publication or a proposed contribution can go to contact@globalriskforum.com, and corrections to integrity@globalriskforum.com. GCRI's research library sits at GCRI publications.
Terms used on this page.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Policy brief | A short document that presents research findings and their implications for a policy question to the people who decide, with evidence, options and limits stated. |
| Grey literature | Material produced outside commercial and academic publishing, such as reports, filings and working papers. |
| Version of record | The fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses. |
| Correction | A published notice that amends an error in a work whose main findings stand. |
