Privacy
This notice explains how The Global Risks Forum (GRF), a Swiss association, 6300 Zug, Switzerland, handles personal data on globalriskforum.com, including the specialist platforms published at globalriskforum.com addresses, and in messages sent to GRF addresses. GRF is the controller for this site and those messages. What you send is used to answer you and keep a record of the exchange. It is never used for marketing, never sold and never shared with the other pillar institutions merely because they lead the same programme. Questions and rights requests go to privacy@globalriskforum.com.

Data GRF processes, its purposes and legal bases.
GRF applies Swiss data protection law and, where it applies to a particular processing, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The bases below are those used where the GDPR applies.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| What you write to a GRF address: name, role, institution, country and message | Answering your enquiry and naming the next step | Steps you ask for before any agreement, or GRF's legitimate interest in answering correspondence |
| The same, kept as a record | Accountability for what GRF was told and what it answered | GRF's legitimate interest in keeping an accurate record |
| Technical data the web server processes, such as IP address, browser type and time of request | Delivering pages and protecting the site against abuse | GRF's legitimate interest in a secure, working site |
| Correction, complaint or safeguarding reports | Reviewing the matter and recording the outcome | Legitimate interest, or a legal obligation where one applies |
| Any data processed with your consent, such as non-essential cookies if ever used | Only the purpose stated when consent is asked | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
Please do not send health, security-sensitive or other special-category information in a first message. If it is needed, the acknowledgement explains a safe way to share it.
Where data goes and how long it stays.
- GRF does not sell personal data or use it for marketing or profiling.
- An enquiry is forwarded to another pillar institution or the Secretariat only when you ask, or when it plainly belongs there and you are told.
- Service providers that host this site or GRF mailboxes process data on GRF's behalf; the counsel-reviewed version of this notice names them.
- Where data is transferred outside Switzerland, it is transferred only with the safeguards applicable law requires.
- Data is kept only as long as needed to answer and to keep the record. Retention periods are set in the counsel-reviewed version of this notice.
What you can ask GRF to do.
Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you can ask to access your personal data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive data you provided in a portable form. Write to privacy@globalriskforum.com and say which request you are making; the acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, such as the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or, where the GDPR applies, the authority where you live or work. Cookies are explained in the cookies notice, and GRF's wider handling rules on Governance and trust.
This notice is reviewed by counsel before publication. Until then it describes the intended practice in plain language and creates no rights or obligations beyond those that applicable law already provides.

Around GRF.
Start with an enquiry.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
