Accessibility
The Global Risks Forum (GRF) wants its pages, publications and events to be usable by everyone who has a stake in shared risk, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technology, slow connections or older devices. These pages are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We test pages and fix barriers we find. If something stops you from using a page, a document or an event, report the barrier to privacy@globalriskforum.com or contact@globalriskforum.com, and say what format or support would help.

How the pages are built.
Readable structure
One main heading per page, ordered section headings, descriptive link text and tables with header cells, so screen readers can navigate.
Light, dark and zoom
Pages follow the device's light or dark setting, use system fonts where the site provides no other, and reflow when text is enlarged.
Readable without scripts
Content stays readable without JavaScript, and interactive elements are designed to be usable with a keyboard.
Report to outcome.

The standards pages and events work to.
| Area | Standard |
|---|---|
| Web pages | WCAG 2.2 at level AA as the target |
| Documents | Tagged PDF or accessible HTML, plain-language summaries |
| Events | Captioning, sign language on request, accessible venues |
| Rights basis | UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Article 9 on accessibility |
Disability inclusion in risk governance.
People with disabilities face higher mortality in disasters, and the Sendai Framework names them as stakeholders in risk reduction. A forum that excludes them from its own dialogues cannot claim to address their exposure. Accessibility is therefore part of the substance, not only of the website.
Beyond the web page.
- 01
Publications
Programme publications are designed to be released in an accessible format, with text alternatives for figures. An accessible version of a document can be requested where one is not provided.
- 02
Dialogues and meetings
Accessibility arrangements for a dialogue or council meeting, such as step-free access, captioning or interpretation, are designed to be stated with the event record and agreed with participants in advance.
- 03
Nexus Universe editions
Host readiness for an edition includes site accessibility, assessed before the build month; see hosts and supporters.
- 04
Plain language
Pages lead with a short executive layer and expand acronyms on first use, so that a first-time reader can follow them.
How to tell GRF about a problem.
Write to privacy@globalriskforum.com or contact@globalriskforum.com with the page or document, what you were trying to do, and the format or support that would help. The acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step. If the barrier is on a page published by another institution, such as The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), its own accessibility page gives its route; The Global Risks Alliance (GRA) publishes its accessibility page too.
This statement describes a design goal and a testing practice. It is not a claim of full accessibility or of conformity with any standard, and it is reviewed by counsel before publication.
Where barriers may remain.
- Documents published by third parties and linked from GRF pages follow their publishers' practices.
- Older publications may not yet have accessible versions; they can be requested.
- Illustrative interface scenes carry captions, but their visual detail may not be fully described.
- The wider website platform, outside GRF's page content, may have barriers that GRF is still identifying.

Around GRF.
Start with an enquiry.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
