The Global Risks Forum (GRF)
Country programmes of Research Nexus, each listed with its status. A country appears only when a programme record exists for it.
Research Nexus country programmes are listed one by one, each country with a programme record showing its work on research and evidence and its status. A country appears only when such a record exists; national institutions lead under country ownership, and the platform supplies evidence and methods.

For national applications, in GRF's situational-awareness reading, the map opens on population density, night lights and flood water with place names and borders from NASA GIBS, framed on World; 3 further NASA layers wait in the list.

Countries organise science advice very differently: chief scientific advisers, national academies, advisory councils, or research functions inside ministries. A Research Nexus country programme first maps that system and its links to disaster, health and climate decision bodies, then asks where research requests get lost.
| Advice model | Strength | Typical gap |
|---|---|---|
| Chief scientific adviser | Speed and access | Depends on one office |
| National academy | Independence and breadth | Slow for emergencies |
| Ministry research units | Close to decisions | Limited independence |
Programmes are listed as exploring, forming, constituted, active, paused or archived. Country and regional entries appear when a programme record supports them.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Country ownership | The principle that a country leads its own development policies and strategies and coordinates the actions that support them, set out in the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. |
| National Nexus Consortium | In the Consortium's national model, the body through which a country's institutions take part in Nexus work, formed under a national record with its own leadership and working groups. |
| Programme status | The recorded state of a programme on Nexus pages: exploring, forming, constituted, active, paused or archived. A plan is never presented as an activity. |
The bodies and documents this page is read against. Status and editions change; each link goes to the issuing body.
The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
