Hosts and programme supporters
Hosts, venues, campuses, production partners and foundations make convening possible. The Global Risks Forum (GRF) welcomes their support for dialogues, council programmes and Nexus Universe editions under written agreements that protect the programme's neutrality. A host provides a venue or operational support; a supporter funds a defined public-good capability. Neither gains control of the programme: hosting is not ownership. No host is confirmed for any edition, and a proposal is never presented as a confirmed host or event.

The short answer.
Hosts and programme supporters are the venues, campuses, production partners and foundations that make GRF dialogues, council programmes and Nexus Universe editions possible, under written agreements that protect neutrality. A host provides a venue or operational support, a supporter funds a defined capability, and neither gains control.

What a host or supporter provides.
Hosts and venues
A site for a dialogue, council meeting or edition, with the access, safety and accessibility the programme needs.
Production and logistics
Operational support such as connectivity, production or logistics, set out in a responsibility schedule.
Programme supporters
Funding for a defined public-good capability under a contribution agreement with a use-of-resources report.
What a hosting proposal should cover.
- The activity proposed and why the host is suited to it.
- Venue accessibility and remote participation arrangements.
- Visa and travel support capacity for participants.
- Who will attend from the host side and in what capacity.
- Costs covered and any conditions, declared in full.
Keeping events proportionate.
Event sustainability standards such as ISO 20121 offer a management framework for the environmental and social footprint of events. GRF prefers hybrid formats, local participants where possible and venues reachable by public transport.
What a hosting agreement is designed to contain.
- 01
Readiness decision
A recorded decision that the host has the authority and readiness to commit the site and support.
- 02
Responsibility schedule
Who does what, when, with accountable operators named on both sides.
- 03
Safeguards
The neutrality safeguards below, written into the agreement.
- 04
Disclosure
How the host is credited, only with written permission and a current record.
- 05
Closeout record
What is returned, retained or released after the event, and who signs it off.
Safeguards designed into every agreement.
- A host gains no ownership of the programme, its records or its results.
- No host or supporter chooses participants, sets the agenda or approves publications.
- No support buys an appointment, a finding, consent or a procurement advantage.
- Neither hosting nor support secures mission admission or a computing allocation.
- Interests are declared, and anyone may raise a concern about capture through institutional independence.
GRF does not regulate, finance, procure or certify, so a hosting agreement can confer none of those powers. Hosting a dialogue does not make the host a partner of GRF.
How to propose hosting or support.
Hosting and support proposals can go to partnerships@globalriskforum.com; the acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step. Conditions specific to the annual programme are on hosts and supporters of Nexus Universe, financial support rules on sponsorship policies, and hosting a single dialogue on host a programme dialogue. All pathways are compared on Participate.
