The short answer.
Innovation Nexus programmes organize its work on innovation, artificial intelligence, and industry and robotics at three levels: global priorities, regional applications and country work. Each programme shows its recorded status, from exploring and forming to active, paused or archived, and a plan is never presented as an activity. Countries take part through their national programmes and the Consortium Secretariat.
Connected activity in the Gulf.
Night-time lights and population density, the footprint of electrified, connected activity, framed on the Gulf as an example geography for this subject; each layer is a dated NASA product.

Every programme shows where it stands.
A programme is shown as exploring, forming, constituted, active, paused or archived, according to its record. A plan is never presented as an activity.
Terms used on this page.
Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Programme | A group of related projects and activities managed together to obtain benefits that managing them separately would not, in the sense the Project Management Institute's programme standard uses. |
| Programme status | The recorded state of a programme on Nexus pages: exploring, forming, constituted, active, paused or archived. A plan is never presented as an activity. |
| Country ownership | The principle that a country leads its own development policies and strategies and coordinates the actions that support them, set out in the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. |
| Responsible innovation | Innovation developed with anticipation of its effects, inclusion of those affected and responsiveness to what is learned. |
