United States of America Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: United States of America (USA) is a flagship, hybrid-format initiative spearheaded by NWG USA, an independent coalition of interdisciplinary experts, civic leaders, and institutional innovators. Unaffiliated with any U.S. government agency or political institution, NWG USA serves as a nonpartisan platform for systemic risk analysis and co-governance across disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
As a key node in the global framework of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), this series leverages foresight-based planning, frontier technologies, and policy innovation to address cascading threats and interdependent systems failures. Engagement spans across the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, the private sector, public sector (as participants), and global partnerships.
Strategic Purpose
The U.S. edition is designed to:
- Catalyze dialogue on climate extremes, cyber-physical vulnerabilities, disinformation risks, and health system fragilities;
- Advance anticipatory governance for AI, quantum computing, and environmental collapse scenarios;
- Support the development of risk-informed financial instruments and inclusive infrastructure resilience;
- Bridge local innovation ecosystems, Indigenous knowledge, and national-scale risk policy frameworks.
Sessions are action-driven, enabling the co-design of regulatory sandboxes, ethical foresight models, and adaptive frameworks that embed equity, sustainability, and accountability at every level.
Governance and Participation
All NWG USA activities are independently governed, fully aligned with the ethical, technical, and procedural principles of GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accountable to any U.S. government entity or political party, ensuring an open, transparent, and values-driven engagement model.
Participation is open to researchers, federal labs, municipal planners, Indigenous leaders, technologists, financiers, grassroots organizations, and public sector partners dedicated to co-creating strategic risk responses in and beyond the United States.
Join the Movement
We invite thought leaders, civic actors, developers, policy innovators, and systems practitioners to contribute to the Global Risks Forum – USA Series. This is a unique opportunity to co-design digital governance tools, anticipatory financial systems, and scalable resilience strategies for the world’s most complex risk environments—within a globally connected, ethically grounded, and future-facing alliance.
