Ghana Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Ghana is a dynamic, hybrid-format initiative organized by NWG Ghana, an independent coalition of local experts, researchers, innovators, and community leaders. Functioning autonomously from the Government of Ghana and without political affiliation, NWG Ghana serves as a nonpartisan platform for inclusive dialogue, foresight, and innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
As part of the global mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), this series brings together stakeholders from across the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, the private sector, international partners, and government institutions (as participating stakeholders)—to collaboratively address national and transboundary risks through integrated, community-centered, and technology-enabled solutions.
Strategic Purpose
The Ghana edition is designed to:
- Enable independent, future-facing dialogue on climate risks, health systems, urbanization, and economic vulnerability;
- Foster the integration of emerging technologies into resilience planning, early warning systems, and disaster finance;
- Strengthen institutional capacity for anticipatory governance, sustainable development, and multi-hazard preparedness;
- Mobilize youth, Indigenous knowledge systems, and diaspora communities to co-develop culturally relevant and scalable solutions.
All sessions are results-oriented—supporting the design of risk-informed policy frameworks, innovative finance models, and inclusive governance systems tailored to Ghana’s evolving development needs.
Governance and Participation
All activities under NWG Ghana are independently developed and led, in full alignment with the global frameworks of the GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with any government, political entity, or lobbying interest, ensuring that its mission is grounded in scientific excellence, ethical participation, and global solidarity.
Participation is open to academic researchers, development professionals, private sector leaders, grassroots organizations, policymakers, and youth innovators dedicated to shaping equitable and resilient futures for Ghana.
Join the Movement
We invite national and international collaborators to participate in the Global Risks Forum – Ghana Series as contributors, partners, and changemakers. Together, we can co-create governance models, financial innovations, and digital ecosystems that respond to Ghana’s unique challenges—while building a globally connected movement for sustainability, foresight, and inclusive transformation.
