Germany Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Germany is a flagship, hybrid-format initiative hosted by NWG Germany, an independent, interdisciplinary consortium of experts from academia, policy, technology, and civil society. Operating autonomously from the Government of Germany and free from political affiliation, NWG Germany serves as a neutral platform for advancing inclusive dialogue and innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
This national series contributes to the global agenda of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF)—an international ecosystem dedicated to systemic foresight, cross-sector innovation, and resilience planning. It convenes diverse stakeholders across the quintuple helix—academic institutions, civil society, the private sector, international organizations, and public institutions (as participants, not organizers)—to co-create future-ready risk governance frameworks rooted in sustainability, equity, and technological leadership.
Strategic Purpose
The Germany edition is designed to:
- Facilitate nonpartisan, evidence-informed discourse on climate change, digital infrastructure, financial volatility, and energy transitions;
- Catalyze the integration of frontier technologies in risk modeling, early warning, and anticipatory action systems;
- Promote policy innovation, inclusive finance mechanisms, and institutional capacity-building for resilient governance;
- Elevate voices from youth movements, Indigenous communities, academic researchers, and global networks in shaping transformative solutions.
All sessions are action-oriented—producing simulation-based policies, sustainability-aligned financing tools, and co-designed governance systems tailored to Germany’s leadership role in global resilience and risk diplomacy.
Governance and Participation
All programming by NWG Germany is independently developed and implemented, aligned with the international frameworks of GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with any government or political entity, ensuring full scientific independence, ethical neutrality, and cross-sector integrity.
Participation is open to research institutions, civil society organizations, policymakers, technology developers, youth leaders, and international collaborators who are committed to shaping next-generation, inclusive resilience systems.
Join the Movement
We invite national and global stakeholders to join the Global Risks Forum – Germany Series as contributors, co-designers, and innovation partners. This is a unique opportunity to co-create anticipatory governance models, ethical technology ecosystems, and scalable solutions that reflect Germany’s global leadership in climate diplomacy, economic resilience, and sustainable development.
