Gabon Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Gabon is a strategic, hybrid-format initiative organized by NWG Gabon, an autonomous network of national and international experts. Functioning independently of the Government of Gabon and unaffiliated with any political party, NWG Gabon provides a trusted platform for inclusive dialogue and co-innovation across disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
This initiative is part of the global framework of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF)—a collaborative ecosystem designed to build foresight, accelerate sustainable development, and drive systems innovation. The series unites stakeholders from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, private sector, international partners, and public institutions (as participating stakeholders)—to shape adaptive, risk-informed solutions for Gabon’s environmental and development challenges.
Strategic Purpose
The Gabon series is designed to:
- Support nonpartisan, future-focused dialogue on climate, biodiversity, public health, and economic risks;
- Advance the application of digital infrastructure and emerging technologies in early warning systems and ecological monitoring;
- Build national capacity for anticipatory governance, sustainable finance, and ecosystem resilience;
- Facilitate collaboration with Indigenous communities, youth leaders, and diaspora groups to co-develop inclusive, place-based innovations.
Each session is outcome-oriented—generating simulation-informed strategies, co-designed policy frameworks, and scalable finance mechanisms that reflect Gabon’s priorities in environmental stewardship, climate action, and sustainable growth.
Governance and Participation
All programming under NWG Gabon is independently governed and aligned with the global standards of the GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with any government, political institution, or lobbying interest, ensuring that its work is grounded in scientific integrity, ethical collaboration, and equitable engagement.
Participation is open to researchers, policymakers, Indigenous leaders, technologists, civil society organizations, youth advocates, and development partners committed to advancing inclusive, risk-informed systems for Gabon’s future.
Join the Movement
We invite national and international partners to engage in the Global Risks Forum – Gabon Series as speakers, collaborators, and co-creators. This is a unique opportunity to shape adaptive governance pathways, co-design nature-positive finance tools, and strengthen collective resilience—while contributing to a global alliance working toward sustainable transformation and planetary stewardship.
