Ecuador Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Ecuador is a strategic, hybrid-format initiative hosted by NWG Ecuador, a nationally coordinated yet fully independent collective of experts and practitioners. Operating autonomously from governmental or political influence, NWG Ecuador offers a nonpartisan platform for transdisciplinary engagement in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
The initiative aligns with the global mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF)—a collaborative, foresight-driven framework addressing complex risks through multi-sectoral innovation and systems-based governance. This national engagement serves as a nexus for stakeholders across the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, private sector, international actors, and public institutions (as participants, not organizers)—to co-create resilient futures and scalable solutions for Ecuador’s dynamic risk landscape.
Strategic Purpose
The Ecuador edition is designed to:
- Cultivate independent, expert-led dialogue on current and emerging national and regional risks;
- Promote the deployment of advanced technologies in climate resilience, public safety, and economic security;
- Strengthen multi-hazard preparedness, anticipatory governance, and innovative finance mechanisms;
- Empower communities, Indigenous groups, diaspora actors, and interdisciplinary teams to generate context-sensitive solutions.
Each session translates insight into action—delivering risk-informed strategies, policy simulation outputs, and inclusive innovation frameworks that bridge local knowledge with global systems thinking.
Governance and Participation
All activities under NWG Ecuador are independently designed, implemented, and governed, in strategic alignment with the frameworks of the GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with any government, political entity, or lobbying group, safeguarding its scientific independence, ethical integrity, and inclusive mandate.
Participation is open to experts, researchers, innovators, policy professionals, grassroots leaders, youth advocates, and institutional actors dedicated to fostering transformative resilience and systems-level change.
Join the Movement
We invite national and international collaborators—academics, community organizers, technologists, and public servants—to join the Global Risks Forum – Ecuador Series. Together, we can co-design risk governance pathways, mobilize anticipatory financing, and build a shared vision of sustainability and resilience rooted in Ecuador’s unique cultural and ecological diversity.
