Czech Republic Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Czech Republic (Czechia) is a hybrid-format initiative led by NWG Czech Republic, an independent network of multidisciplinary professionals, academics, and civic leaders. Free from government or political affiliation, NWG Czech Republic operates as a nonpartisan platform for structured dialogue and systems innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
The initiative is part of a globally coordinated effort under the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), which promote anticipatory action, systems-based risk governance, and technological integration. The series connects national stakeholders to global dialogues, aligning with cross-sector resilience priorities across the quintuple helix: academia, civil society, government (as stakeholder), private sector, and international partners.
Strategic Purpose
The Czech Republic series is designed to:
- Advance systems-thinking and foresight in managing complex, interdependent risks;
- Enhance data-driven, transparent policy responses for climate adaptation and digital infrastructure;
- Promote financial innovation and risk transfer tools to reduce vulnerability in energy, cybersecurity, and critical sectors;
- Strengthen civic and institutional capacities through participatory co-governance and innovation labs.
Focused on action and applied knowledge, the forum supports policy design, scenario-based planning, and cross-sectoral strategy development to address both national priorities and European-wide systemic risk contexts.
Governance and Participation
All operations under NWG Czech Republic are independently managed and self-directed, aligned with the ethical standards and global coordination frameworks of GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with any governmental body or political institution, ensuring intellectual freedom, transparency, and scientific integrity.
Participation is open to academics, technical experts, government representatives (in stakeholder capacity), youth leaders, civil society organizations, and private sector innovators. The event fosters open innovation, cross-sectoral foresight, and co-creation of tools for anticipatory governance and digital transformation.

We invite Czech and international researchers, policymakers, technologists, risk managers, and civic leaders to take part in the Global Risks Forum – Czech Republic Series.
