Côte d’Ivoire Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Côte d’Ivoire is an annual, hybrid-format initiative organized by NWG Côte d’Ivoire, an independent coalition of Ivorian and international researchers, civil society leaders, youth innovators, technologists, and Indigenous representatives. Operating independently from the Government of Côte d’Ivoire and all political affiliations, NWG Côte d’Ivoire serves as a nonpartisan platform for evidence-based dialogue and innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
This national edition aligns with the overarching mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and the Global Risks Forum (GRF)—a planetary initiative focused on systemic foresight, global cooperation, and frontier technology integration for resilience. The forum engages a diverse group of stakeholders from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, private sector, government (as stakeholder only), and international partners—bridging grassroots knowledge with global innovation frameworks.
Strategic Purpose
The Côte d’Ivoire series is designed to:
- Enable autonomous and inclusive dialogue on risks linked to climate change, rapid urbanization, food insecurity, and public health;
- Advance technological foresight and simulation tools for risk mitigation across coastal, rural, and urban zones;
- Promote anticipatory governance, climate-resilient finance, and digital inclusion;
- Elevate the role of youth, women, and rural communities in designing equitable and adaptive development strategies.
The event focuses on generating actionable outputs such as adaptive infrastructure models, parametric insurance tools, decentralized data governance systems, and simulation-based public policy frameworks.
Governance and Participation
All programming under NWG Côte d’Ivoire is independently developed and implemented, in strict alignment with the global principles and operational standards of the GRA and GRF. The NWG is not affiliated with, funded by, or accountable to any political body, ensuring that all engagement is rooted in scientific integrity, transparency, and ethical independence.
Participation is open to local experts, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, youth leaders, and diaspora members who are committed to strengthening Côte d’Ivoire’s resilience through nonpartisan collaboration, interdisciplinary foresight, and bottom-up innovation.
Join the Movement
We invite environmental stewards, public policy actors, technologists, financial strategists, Indigenous knowledge holders, and institutional partners to participate in the Global Risks Forum – Côte d’Ivoire Series as speakers, collaborators, and co-creators. This is a unique opportunity to engage in the co-development of anticipatory systems, community-led innovations, and equitable risk governance pathways—rooted in Côte d’Ivoire’s lived realities and linked to a global network of transformative action.
