Central African Republic Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Central African Republic is a hybrid-format national initiative led by NWG Central African Republic, an autonomous, nonpartisan coalition of researchers, humanitarian actors, civil society leaders, youth networks, Indigenous organizations, and diaspora representatives. Operating independently of the Government of the Central African Republic and unaffiliated with any political entity, NWG CAR provides a neutral, evidence-based platform to support innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
This edition contributes to the global mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and the Global Risks Forum (GRF)—international platforms promoting systemic foresight, anticipatory governance, and inclusive resilience-building. The forum convenes stakeholders from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, private sector, international organizations, and government institutions (as non-governing participants).
Strategic Purpose
The Central African Republic series is designed to:
- Address layered and compounding risks such as conflict-driven displacement, climate vulnerability, food insecurity, environmental degradation, and fragile governance systems;
- Support the development of inclusive and decentralized risk governance frameworks through participatory planning and community-led foresight;
- Advance sustainable finance models, including anticipatory humanitarian aid, mobile-based insurance, and nature-based investment mechanisms;
- Empower youth, Indigenous communities, women leaders, and displaced populations in shaping localized, just, and forward-looking resilience strategies.
Sessions will produce actionable outcomes including risk-informed development plans, digital resilience platforms, ethical data tools, and adaptive finance solutions.
Governance and Participation
NWG Central African Republic operates with full independence, adhering to the values and frameworks of the GRA and GRF. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accountable to any political body or government, ensuring all engagements are rooted in scientific integrity, neutrality, and community empowerment.
Participation is open to researchers, local NGOs, humanitarian workers, Indigenous elders, diaspora professionals, financial innovators, peacebuilders, and international collaborators committed to resilience-building and inclusive risk governance.
Join the Movement
We invite peace and development practitioners, climate justice advocates, digital innovators, Indigenous knowledge holders, humanitarian partners, and multilateral agencies to join the Global Risks Forum – Central African Republic Series as speakers, contributors, and co-creators. This is a vital opportunity to co-design resilience systems, anticipatory finance models, and inclusive governance tools that reflect the aspirations, needs, and strengths of communities across the Central African Republic.
