Belarus Risks Forum
The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Belarus is a hybrid-format national platform led by NWG Belarus, an autonomous coalition of multidisciplinary experts, civic actors, youth leaders, and regional knowledge networks. Operating independently of any governmental or political institutions, NWG Belarus provides a nonpartisan, evidence-driven space for forward-looking dialogue and innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).
This national edition contributes to the broader mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF)—global networks dedicated to foresight, multilateral collaboration, and technology-enabled resilience. The forum connects stakeholders from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, government (as stakeholders), private sector, and international partners—to co-design inclusive and resilient futures.
Strategic Purpose
The Belarus series is designed to:
- Address complex risk interactions, including environmental degradation, health system strain, and economic vulnerabilities;
- Strengthen national and regional resilience through scenario-based policy design and anticipatory governance tools;
- Advance disaster risk financing mechanisms tailored to local needs and aligned with international sustainability standards;
- Foster inclusive participation of scientists, youth, Indigenous knowledge holders, and diaspora communities in shaping future strategies.
This edition is action-oriented, with outputs including simulated policy environments, adaptive finance tools, and data-driven risk governance strategies suited to Belarus’s evolving risk landscape.
Governance and Participation
All initiatives under NWG Belarus are autonomously managed, following the global principles of GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with or accountable to any government or political body, ensuring that its structure and activities are rooted in scientific integrity, open participation, and international solidarity.
Participation is open to policy designers, researchers, civil society organizations, youth groups, urban planners, and international collaborators committed to nonpartisan, impact-driven engagement. Emphasis is placed on knowledge justice, ethical innovation, and transboundary cooperation.
Join the Movement
We invite risk governance experts, civic leaders, technology innovators, educators, diaspora contributors, and multilateral actors to join the Global Risks Forum – Belarus Series as speakers, facilitators, and co-creators. This is a critical opportunity to contribute to the development of risk-informed governance, sustainable finance systems, and inclusive innovation platforms that empower Belarus within a global resilience framework.
