Claims and programme state

The Global Risks Forum (GRF) writes in the present tense only about what operates now. Everything else is described as designed, proposed, in development or in formation, and an edition, host, appointment or outcome is described as confirmed only when a record shows it. This page is the single place where the current state of GRF's programme is kept. If another page, or anyone else, describes a GRF programme as further along than this page does, this page prevails, and the discrepancy can be reported for correction.

01In brief

The short answer.

Claims and programme state is GRF's single record of what operates now: everything else is described as designed, proposed, in development or in formation, and an edition, host, appointment or outcome is called confirmed only when a record shows it. If another page says more, this page prevails.

Report to outcome.

How a correction moves on The Global Risks ForumA report is acknowledged and triaged; a reviewer not involved in the original work assesses it; the outcome is a new version with its history or a reasoned decline, and the reporter is told either way. Design of the workflow, not a record.

06How states are defined

The vocabulary GRF uses.

  1. 01

    Open now

Operating today, with a team and a route that works.

  2. 02

    Established

In place at a live address, with a responsible publisher.

  3. 03

    In development

Proposed and being prepared. Nothing operates in its name yet.

  4. 04

    In formation

Being constituted. Scope, rules and membership are not yet adopted.

  5. 05

    Not yet on record

No record exists. Any date, host or outcome seen elsewhere is not confirmed by GRF.

  6. 06

    Not yet open

Designed, but not available until its terms and review capacity are in place.

07The rules behind the table

Status follows records.

Records

Confirmation needs a record

An edition, host, appointment or outcome is confirmed only when a record shows it.

Counts

Registry counts only

GRF uses counts that registries support, such as six regions and fifteen planned hubs, and no unsourced figures.

Boundaries

Limits next to claims

Each claim carries its limit, such as that hubs are planned coordination roles, never offices.

GRF does not regulate, finance, procure or certify. No state in the table implies an approval, a certification or a financial commitment.

09Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Programme statusThe recorded state of a programme on Nexus pages: exploring, forming, constituted, active, paused or archived. A plan is never presented as an activity.
Claim ceilingThe strongest statement a page may make about a capability, set by the evidence on record; without operating evidence a page describes a design or an integration, never readiness.
Status vocabularyThe controlled list of status terms a registry accepts, each with a written definition.

11Questions

Questions and answers.

Why are dates and hosts missing from GRF pages?
Because GRF publishes an edition, host or appointment only when a record shows it. Missing information means it is not yet confirmed.
Another site says a GRF event is confirmed. Is it?
Only if this page and an edition or dialogue record say so. Otherwise it is not confirmed by GRF, and you can report the discrepancy.
How often is this page updated?
Whenever a state changes on record. Each change is announced as a notice, and earlier states remain traceable.
The Global Risks Forum

Start with an enquiry.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
