2025 Training on Negotiation Skills and Techniques for UNEA Delegates

UNEP’s negotiation skills workshop
The training is intended for delegates from States Members of the UN, members of UN specialized agencies and the European Union accredited to the Committee of Permanent Representatives, based in Nairobi and capital-based environmental focal points attending the annual subcommittee meeting of the CPR. In particular, the training is intended for those delegates who will represent their delegations in the negotiation of UNEA-7 draft resolutions and decisions.
The training programme would allow participants to acquire new skills and knowledge and to exchange and discuss with experts in the respective fields through peer learning on negotiation skills and techniques.
The workshop will be held in-person:
Monday, 8 September 2025 and Tuesday, 9 September 2025
Due to limited space available for in-person training, participants will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis while ensuring geographical and gender balance.
