03What and why

Data GRF processes, its purposes and legal bases.

Please do not send health, security-sensitive or other special-category information in a first message. If it is needed, the acknowledgement explains a safe way to share it.

04Sharing, transfers and retention

Where data goes and how long it stays.

  • GRF does not sell personal data or use it for marketing or profiling.
  • An enquiry is forwarded to another pillar institution or the Secretariat only when you ask, or when it plainly belongs there and you are told.
  • Service providers that host this site or GRF mailboxes process data on GRF's behalf; the counsel-reviewed version of this notice names them.
  • Where data is transferred outside Switzerland, it is transferred only with the safeguards applicable law requires.
  • Data is kept only as long as needed to answer and to keep the record. Retention periods are set in the counsel-reviewed version of this notice.
05Your rights

What you can ask GRF to do.

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you can ask to access your personal data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive data you provided in a portable form. Write to privacy@globalriskforum.com and say which request you are making; the acknowledgement gives a reference and names the next step. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, such as the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or, where the GDPR applies, the authority where you live or work. Cookies are explained in the cookies notice, and GRF's wider handling rules on Governance and trust.

This notice is reviewed by counsel before publication. Until then it describes the intended practice in plain language and creates no rights or obligations beyond those that applicable law already provides.

06Questions

Questions and answers.

Does GRF share my enquiry with GCRI or GRA?
No, not because they lead the same programme. Each pillar institution has its own notice and controller. An enquiry is forwarded only when you ask, or when it plainly belongs to another institution and you are told.
Why is the Secretariat covered by a different notice?
The Consortium Secretariat is run by GCRI Canada, which answers programme enquiries for the three pillar institutions as controller under its own privacy notice.
Will GRF add me to a mailing list?
No. Enquiries are used only to answer you and keep a record. Any future mailing list would be described separately and would need your consent.
How do I correct information GRF holds about me?
Write to privacy@globalriskforum.com with what needs correcting. Corrections to public claims on the site follow the separate corrections and concerns route.

Start with an enquiry.

The current service level is R0: information and enquiries. An enquiry receives a reference and names the next step; applications, payments, compute allocations and registrations open only when their team, terms and review capacity exist.
