Background:
TheParis Dialoguewas launched in June 2023 as a coalition of Paris-based international organizations whose mandates collectively span the breadth of the2030 Agenda for sustainable development. Coinciding with theanniversaries of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) offers a critical opportunity to renew global commitments to multilateralism and shared objectives. In response, the Paris Dialogue aims to support theimplementation and follow-up of the FfD4 outcomeand serve as anengine for innovation, accountabilityandimpactacross the Sevilla Action Areas. As part of this ambition, the Dialogue also proposes to host a follow-up conference to take the momentum on climate and development finance forward from FfD4 and COP30 to Paris G7 in France (2026). It would offer a trusted and multi-institutional space to maintain political momentum, track progress, and co-develop solutions to global financing challenges.
