01In brief

The short answer.

Publishing in Nexus Reports is how Policy Nexus findings reach the Consortium's versioned report series, here Evidence Brief as well as Portfolio and Readiness. A contribution is a reviewed finding with its method, evidence labels and limits; series editors check scope and consistency, and no funder, sponsor or member can buy or block a finding.

Scoping to review.

Publish in Nexus Reports: from customer due diligence to suspicious activity reportCustomer due diligence sets a risk rating; transaction monitoring scenarios raise alerts; analysts triage and investigate; the MLRO decides whether to report to the financial intelligence unit; feedback tunes the scenarios. Design of the process, not a record of a run.

03Geography

People and hazards in Africa.

For publish in nexus reports, in GRF's situational-awareness reading, the map opens on population density, night lights and true-colour imagery, framed on Africa; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

05Contribution to reports

What Policy Nexus adds to Nexus Reports.

A chapter on the policy landscape for the edition's theme: which instruments exist, which were adopted or amended in the period, how implementation is reported and what options remain under discussion, with the deciding body named for each.

07Key terms

Terms used on this page.

Each term as this page uses it. Where a standard-setting body defines the term, the wording follows that body.

TermDefinition
Editorial independenceThe condition in which editors decide what is published on the validity and relevance of the work, free from interference by owners, funders or sponsors, as ICMJE and COPE guidance describe it.
Living reportA report updated in versions as evidence changes, with each version kept and dated.
Grey literatureMaterial produced outside commercial and academic publishing, such as reports, filings and working papers.
Version of recordThe fixed version of a work that a publisher formally declares published; later changes appear as dated corrections or new versions, never as silent edits, in the sense NISO's journal article versions recommendation uses.
