Corporate and Supply Chain Governance

Corporate and Supply Chain Governance is a chapter of Governance Nexus: a specialist sub-community with its own group, editor and research agenda. Corporate governance belongs within established governance practice.

01In brief

The short answer.

Corporate and Supply Chain Governance is a chapter of Governance Nexus: a specialist sub-community with its own group, editor and research agenda. Its work starts from the cornerstone topic, corporate governance and supply chains. Supply chain due diligence is the process by which companies identify, prevent, mitigate and account for environmental, human rights and integrity risks in their own operations and across suppliers several tiers away, where they have influence but not control. A chapter becomes a platform of its own only by meeting the graduation rule.

03Geography

Activity and hazards in Asia.

For corporate and supply chain governance, in GRF's situational-awareness reading, the map opens on population density, night lights and flood water, framed on Asia; every other NASA layer, live feed and forecast waits in the layer list.

The interactive map needs JavaScript; the layer list and sources are below.

Questions the chapter works on, starting from its cornerstone topic.

05Due diligence

Governing risk along supply chains.

The chapter follows how firms identify and act on risks in their supply chains, guided by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises updated in 2023. In the EU, the Omnibus I Directive published in 2026 amended the corporate sustainability due diligence directive and narrowed its scope; national transposition is due in 2028.
