Effective disaster risk reduction and anticipatory governance require risk data that can be shared, compared, and integrated across countries, sectors, and systems. Yet, most risk datasets are siloed—structured according to different formats, taxonomies, and ontologies—making cross-jurisdictional collaboration and foresight modelling difficult. This question seeks input on the design of a global data schema to enable semantic and structural interoperability of risk datasets. Areas of focus include geospatial encoding, hazard classification, exposure and vulnerability indicators, temporal alignment, and alignment with international frameworks like ISO, OGC, Sendai, and INSPIRE.
