The structures the Global Risks Forum (GRF) Public Deliberation publishes in, read from the pages themselves: edition, chapter, brief, dataset and profiles. What convenings, councils and the public concluded: positions, dissent and open questions.

01Desk chapter

A chapter of GRF Public Deliberation.

A desk edition has eight chapters on the federation frame. GRF Public Deliberation names them for its own remit.

FrameChapterScope
1 · The questionWhat was asked, and by whomThe questions put to the convenings of the cycle, and the bodies and roles that put them.
2 · FindingsConclusions and dissentWhat the convenings concluded, with the dissent recorded beside each conclusion.
3 · By system and sectorPositions by sectorThe positions stated by sector and by type of body, attributed to those who hold them.
4 · Risk and capabilityPublic concernsThe concerns raised by the public and by civil society, as they were raised.
5 · ScenarioDeliberated scenariosThe scenarios the convenings discussed, and what participants said would change their view.
6 · ReadingsReadings from the other desksReadings from the other desks: cross-references to their editions for the same scope, not copies of them.
7 · AgendaCommitments asked forThe commitments participants asked of institutions, recorded as requests, not as agreements.
8 · In depthSession recordsThe record of each session: agenda, participation by role, materials and outcome.

02Edition

An edition, in reading order.

Every edition is built in the same order, so a reader finds the same part in the same place in every report. The identifier follows NR-<desk>-<scope>-<year>-<class>-v<semver>; a correction is a new version of the same identifier.

PartPathWhat goes in it
S · Executive summarysummary/the abstract, the key messages, the headline finding and what each steward reads in it
1 · The coupled systemcoupled-system/how the systems in scope depend on each other, and the couplings a shock travels through
2 · Key findingsfindings/each finding with its ID, status word, evidence-quality level and numbered sources; grouped, never ranked
3 · Systems and sectors at baselinesystems-and-sectors/where each system and sector stood at evidence close, read in words and never scored
4 · Risks and capabilityrisk-and-capability/the risk objects, read across driver, exposure, vulnerability, capacity, cascade and consequence, and the capability ladder
5 · Scenarioscenario/a conditional statement under stated assumptions, never a prediction
6 · Readings from the other deskslenses-and-readings/each steward’s lens on the reviewed findings, and the other desks’ editions of the subject
7 · Agendaagenda/the bounded questions the next cycle answers, each tied to a finding
8 · Systems in depthsystems-in-depth/one section per system: its state at evidence close, its exposures and what the operational series will watch
A · Methodologymethodology/methods, the model card, the evidence cut and its age, the acceptance record and the glossary
B · Data appendixdata/the indicator set with its sources, the source registers, the licences and the formats
C · References and recordreferences/every source, the publication record, the corrections log and the open record

03Evidence brief

A brief, one question at a time.

Short, print-first briefs that carry one question, its evidence and its limits to a decision-maker. No brief template is adopted yet; the skeleton below is a draft for the editorial board and uses only the rules every Reports output already follows.

Brief skeleton (draft for adoption)

04Dataset

A dataset, as the data package.

Every edition ships its data as a package with the same files. A contributed dataset is described the same way, deposited under CC0 1.0 and linked to the edition that used it (IsSupplementTo).

FileWhat it holds
manifest.jsonschema nexus-reports/data-package.v1: the edition ID, aliases, evidence cut and close, the pack’s SHA-256 and the licences
findings.csvid, status, eql, finding, references: one row per finding
references.csvn, reference: the numbered sources, in the edition’s order
tables/<nn>-<page>-<title>.csveach table of the edition as CSV, with its own JSON twin (edition, table, page, columns, rows)
citation.csl.json, citation.bib, citation.risthe edition’s citation in CSL-JSON, BibTeX and RIS

05Country profile

A country profile.

A country profile in the journal reads its edition in 16 sections, in this order. Values come from the edition, with its sources; none are typed into the profile.

A sector profile reads one sector of the global sector screen: its reading, its exposure and how much of the baseline evidence covers it, beside every other sector in the edition.
