NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC must register here.\nKindly Note\n* Each organization may request registration for up to FIVE representatives. Each nominated representative must submit their registration individually. If more than five representatives are registered under a single organization, the Secretariat will approve registration on a first-come, first-served basis.\n* Submitting registration doesn’t guarantee your in-person participation. You will receive an approval letter confirming your in-person participation if your registration is approved.\n* The list of confirmed participants may be shared with the host country to facilitate visa processing and access to the conference.\n* Registration is NOW OPEN until 19 May 2025 (23:59 PM EDT).\n* The United Nations is delighted to welcome registered representatives of accredited NGOs and other stakeholders to attend UNOC3. If you encounter such requests, kindly report them tounoc2025@un.org.\n* For guidance on the registration process, please check: FAQs for Indico registrations | Department of Economic and Social Affairs\n* For more information on the 2025 UN Ocean Conference, please check: UN 2025 Ocean Conference | Department of Economic and Social Affairs\nBackground\nThe high-level 2025 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development (the 2025 UN Ocean Conference) will be held in Nice, France, from 9 – 13 June 2025, co-hosted by France and Costa Rica.\nThe overarching theme of the Conference is “Accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean”. The Conference, comprising an opening segment, ten plenary sessions, ten Ocean Action Panels and a closing segment, aims to support further and urgent action to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development and identify further ways and means to support the implementation of SDG 14. It will build on existing instruments to form successful partnerships towards the swift conclusion and effective implementation of ongoing processes that contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of the ocean.
