SUMMARY:Brazil Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Brazil is an annual, hybrid-format initiative led by NWG Brazil, an independent coalition of national and international experts across climate science, public policy, Indigenous knowledge, and innovation systems. Free from any government affiliation or political oversight, NWG Brazil provides a neutral, action-oriented platform for addressing systemic risks through disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).\nThis series is part of the global effort led by the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and the Global Risks Forum (GRF) to promote foresight-driven collaboration, ethical innovation, and community-centered resilience. The platform brings together stakeholders from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, private sector, international partners, and government institutions (participating as stakeholders, not organizers).\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe Brazil edition is designed to:\n\nFacilitate independent, forward-looking dialogue on climate risk, biodiversity loss, urban resilience, public health, and environmental governance;\nIntegrate cutting-edge technologies into early warning systems, disaster preparedness, risk monitoring, and adaptive governance frameworks;\nStrengthen institutional and societal capacity to manage compound risks, including flooding, drought, deforestation, heat stress, and infrastructure disruption;\nEngage youth, local communities, academic institutions, and regional and diaspora networks in co-designing inclusive, scalable resilience strategies.\n\nEach session focuses on co-developing policy tools, financing mechanisms, and digital governance frameworks grounded in equity, participation, and innovation.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nAll NWG Brazil activities are independently governed and fully aligned with the ethical and procedural standards of GRA and GRF. The platform is not affiliated with or directed by any state authority or political body, ensuring neutrality, transparency, and trust.\nParticipation is open to researchers, youth leaders, women’s networks, climate activists, finance innovators, Indigenous elders, and public institutions committed to advancing Brazil’s resilience agenda through collaborative innovation.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe invite national and international stakeholders to participate in the Global Risks Forum – Brazil Series. Help co-create future-ready governance systems, anticipatory finance tools, and adaptive technologies that strengthen resilience across Brazil’s communities and ecosystems—while contributing to a global network of shared learning and action.\n\n
