SUMMARY:Venezuela Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Venezuela is an annual, hybrid-format initiative led by NWG Venezuela, a nonpartisan, interdisciplinary coalition of national and international experts. Operating independently from the Government of Venezuela and without any political affiliation, NWG Venezuela provides a neutral space for addressing systemic risks through collective intelligence, applied innovation, and evidence-based governance across disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).\nAs part of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), this series brings together actors across the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, the private sector, international agencies, and government institutions (engaged solely as stakeholders, not organizers)—to co-develop solutions for resilience and sustainability.\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe Venezuela edition aims to:\n\nAddress the interlinked risks of economic instability, infrastructure collapse, climate shocks, and food insecurity;\nFoster systems-level solutions for disaster response, energy transition, and ecosystem restoration;\nIntroduce digital public goods, risk-informed financial strategies, and blockchain-based social protection models;\nPromote knowledge exchange between local communities, diaspora networks, and global research ecosystems.\n\nSessions focus on creating frameworks for participatory planning, early warning systems, adaptive finance, and co-governance aligned with ecological and social justice.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nNWG Venezuela operates independently and is fully aligned with the guiding principles of GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with, governed by, or endorsed by any political or state entity, preserving a space for open, ethical, and science-based engagement.\nParticipation is open to local innovators, grassroots leaders, academics, youth, technologists, and global partners committed to building a resilient and just future for Venezuela. Emphasis is placed on solidarity, systemic innovation, and multi-stakeholder dialogue.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe welcome contributors from across Venezuela and the global community to join the Global Risks Forum – Venezuela Series. This is your opportunity to shape the next generation of resilience tools, inclusive finance models, and anticipatory governance frameworks tailored to Venezuela’s unique challenges and possibilities—within a global ecosystem of shared transformation.\n
