SUMMARY:Uzbekistan Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Uzbekistan is an annual, hybrid-format initiative led by NWG Uzbekistan, an independent coalition of experts from academia, civil society, technology, and finance. Operating independently from the Government of Uzbekistan and any political institution, NWG Uzbekistan serves as a neutral platform for advancing disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI) through systems innovation and knowledge exchange.\nThis initiative is embedded within the broader global framework of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and the Global Risks Forum (GRF). It brings together participants from the quintuple helix—universities, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, international agencies, and public institutions (acting as stakeholders, not organizers).\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe Uzbekistan series is designed to:\n\nAddress water scarcity, desertification, and environmental degradation in the Aral Sea region through systems-level collaboration;\nAdvance multi-hazard preparedness for seismic, agricultural, and climate-related risks;\nIntroduce innovative finance tools such as climate-linked bonds, microinsurance, and regional DRF models;\nEmpower youth, researchers, and Indigenous knowledge holders in shaping sustainable development pathways.\n\nSessions promote inclusive, action-oriented dialogue aimed at generating foresight-based policy solutions, regional partnerships, and simulation-driven preparedness strategies.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nAll NWG Uzbekistan initiatives are independently governed and executed in alignment with GRA and GRF global standards. The forum is not affiliated with, accountable to, or endorsed by any government body, maintaining a strictly neutral and evidence-based approach to systems change.\nParticipation is open to researchers, youth leaders, entrepreneurs, regional experts, diaspora professionals, and community organizations working to build resilience through cross-sector collaboration and technological innovation.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe invite national and international stakeholders—policymakers, scientists, technologists, cultural leaders, and resilience practitioners—to join the Global Risks Forum – Uzbekistan Series. Together, we can co-create anticipatory systems, inclusive governance models, and sustainable risk finance tools rooted in the values of innovation, equity, and regional cooperation.\n\n
