SUMMARY:United Arab Emirates Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: United Arab Emirates is a flagship, hybrid-format initiative spearheaded by NWG United Arab Emirates, an independent coalition of interdisciplinary experts, civic leaders, and institutional innovators. Unaffiliated with any United Arab Emirates government agency or political institution, NWG United Arab Emirates serves as a nonpartisan platform for systemic risk analysis and co-governance across disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).\nAs a key node in the global framework of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), this series leverages foresight-based planning, frontier technologies, and policy innovation to address cascading threats and interdependent systems failures. Engagement spans across the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, the private sector, public sector (as participants), and global partnerships.\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe United Arab Emirates edition is designed to:\n\nFacilitate independent, forward-looking dialogue on climate risk, water scarcity, energy transition, digital security, and urban resilience;\nIntegrate cutting-edge technologies into early warning systems, disaster preparedness, risk monitoring, and adaptive governance frameworks;\nStrengthen institutional and societal capacity to manage compound risks, including extreme heat, infrastructure disruption, public health emergencies, and regional interconnected vulnerabilities;\nEngage youth, local communities, academic institutions, and international and diaspora networks in co-designing innovative, scalable resilience strategies.\n\nSessions are action-driven, enabling the co-design of regulatory sandboxes, ethical foresight models, and adaptive frameworks that embed equity, sustainability, and accountability at every level.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nAll NWG United Arab Emirates activities are independently governed, fully aligned with the ethical, technical, and procedural principles of GRA and GRF. The forum is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accountable to any United Arab Emirates government entity or political party, ensuring an open, transparent, and values-driven engagement model.\nParticipation is open to researchers, federal labs, municipal planners, Indigenous leaders, technologists, financiers, grassroots organizations, and public sector partners dedicated to co-creating strategic risk responses in and beyond the United States.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe invite thought leaders, civic actors, developers, policy innovators, and systems practitioners to contribute to the Global Risks Forum – United Arab Emirates Series. This is a unique opportunity to co-design digital governance tools, anticipatory financial systems, and scalable resilience strategies for the world’s most complex risk environments—within a globally connected, ethically grounded, and future-facing alliance.\n
