SUMMARY:Comoros Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Comoros is an annual, hybrid-format initiative coordinated by NWG Comoros, an independent network of national experts, community leaders, youth representatives, and international collaborators. Operating with full autonomy from the Government of Comoros and without affiliation to any political body, NWG Comoros provides a neutral platform for evidence-based policy dialogue and innovation across disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).\nAs part of the wider framework of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and Global Risks Forum (GRF), this series contributes to a globally synchronized effort to tackle systemic risks through foresight, technological co-creation, and cross-sectoral resilience. It unites stakeholders from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, government (as participant only), private sector, and international partners—to co-design inclusive, forward-looking solutions grounded in the specific realities of Comoros as a Small Island Developing State (SIDS).\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe Comoros edition is designed to:\n\nFacilitate independent, high-level dialogue on climate, geophysical, and economic risks facing island nations;\nIntegrate cutting-edge technologies into community-based early warning, preparedness, and adaptation systems;\nAdvance sustainable finance and decentralized governance tools for risk-informed development;\nEmpower local communities, youth networks, and diaspora groups in shaping regenerative resilience strategies.\n\nThe forum emphasizes actionable outcomes, including co-created policy blueprints, participatory simulation tools, risk-informed budgeting models, and anticipatory governance mechanisms tailored to the Comorian archipelago.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nAll activities under NWG Comoros are independently governed and aligned with the values and operational standards of GRA and GRF. The initiative is not associated with, endorsed by, or accountable to any government entity or political institution, ensuring that all discussions and outputs are grounded in ethical integrity, scientific objectivity, and global solidarity.\nParticipation is open to researchers, policy leaders, civil society actors, financial innovators, diaspora representatives, and local community organizers. The forum promotes inclusive knowledge exchange, strategic foresight, and co-governance models that elevate underrepresented voices in national resilience-building efforts.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe welcome climate adaptation leaders, island governance experts, tech developers, financial institutions, and youth activists to join the Global Risks Forum – Comoros Series as speakers, partners, and contributors. This is a unique opportunity to co-develop anticipatory systems, enhance local innovation ecosystems, and build enduring resilience pathways for Comoros—while staying connected to a global alliance dedicated to risk-informed transformation.\n
