SUMMARY:Bosnia and Herzegovina Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Bosnia and Herzegovina is a hybrid-format national platform led by NWG Bosnia and Herzegovina, an autonomous coalition of academic experts, youth leaders, civil society organizations, diaspora networks, and innovation stakeholders. Operating independently from any governmental or political body, NWG Bosnia and Herzegovina offers a nonpartisan, evidence-based environment for advancing dialogue and innovation in disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).\nThis national edition is part of the global vision of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and the Global Risks Forum (GRF)—planetary frameworks dedicated to ethical foresight, systemic risk governance, and cross-border innovation. It brings together actors from the quintuple helix: academia, civil society, international organizations, private sector, and government institutions (participating only as non-governing stakeholders).\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe Bosnia and Herzegovina series aims to:\n\nAddress interconnected and systemic risks such as climate vulnerability, post-conflict environmental degradation, urban flooding, and energy insecurity;\nPromote anticipatory governance and digital transformation in disaster risk planning and social cohesion frameworks;\nAdvance inclusive and transparent financial instruments for green infrastructure and community-based adaptation;\nLeverage diaspora knowledge, local expertise, and cross-ethnic collaboration to build equitable and sustainable resilience systems.\n\nForum sessions will deliver actionable results such as scenario-based policy tools, simulation-driven disaster preparedness models, and localized resilience financing mechanisms.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nNWG Bosnia and Herzegovina operates with full independence, in accordance with the guiding principles of the GRA and GRF. It is not affiliated with or accountable to any political party or government institution, ensuring the integrity and inclusiveness of all processes and outputs.\nParticipation is open to researchers, municipal leaders, engineers, financial innovators, civil society representatives, youth activists, and global partners. The forum emphasizes reconciliation-driven cooperation, ethical innovation, and knowledge equity across ethnic, generational, and regional lines.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe invite public administrators, peacebuilders, environmentalists, urban planners, financial actors, and international collaborators to join the Global Risks Forum – Bosnia and Herzegovina Series as speakers, facilitators, and strategic allies. This is a critical opportunity to co-design anticipatory governance systems, resilience finance strategies, and transformative models of community-centered risk management that reflect Bosnia and Herzegovina’s aspirations for a peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable future.\n
