SUMMARY:Bolivia Risks Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Global Risks Forum – National Engagement Series: Bolivia is a hybrid-format national initiative coordinated by NWG Bolivia, an autonomous platform of researchers, Indigenous leaders, youth organizers, civil society actors, and interdisciplinary experts. Operating independently from the Government of Bolivia and without political affiliation, NWG Bolivia serves as a neutral, evidence-based hub for advancing disaster risk reduction (DRR), disaster risk finance (DRF), and disaster risk intelligence (DRI).\nThis forum aligns with the international mission of the Global Risks Alliance (GRA) and the Global Risks Forum (GRF)—networks dedicated to system-wide foresight, ethical innovation, and global collaboration. The Bolivia edition engages actors from the quintuple helix—academia, civil society, the private sector, international institutions, and public agencies (participating as non-governing stakeholders).\n\nStrategic Purpose\nThe Bolivia series is designed to:\n\nAddress systemic and multi-hazard risks such as water scarcity, biodiversity loss, seismic activity, and socio-environmental conflict;\nStrengthen anticipatory governance and risk-informed planning across rural, Indigenous, and urban territories;\nAdvance sustainable finance mechanisms for environmental protection, Indigenous stewardship, and circular economies;\nElevate community-led resilience strategies rooted in Indigenous knowledge systems, biocultural diversity, and ecological justice.\n\nSessions are structured to produce actionable outcomes including territorial risk maps, climate finance tools, adaptive policy frameworks, and cross-sector strategies for sustainable development and disaster preparedness.\n\nGovernance and Participation\nNWG Bolivia functions with full independence, in line with GRA and GRF frameworks. It is not affiliated with or accountable to any government or political body, ensuring that all dialogue, outputs, and processes are driven by transparency, ethical integrity, and collective intelligence.\nParticipation is open to Indigenous organizations, academic institutions, youth movements, agroecological cooperatives, financial actors, and global allies invested in inclusive, decolonial, and sustainability-centered resilience governance.\n\nJoin the Movement\nWe invite policy architects, community leaders, environmental defenders, diaspora professionals, technologists, and researchers to join the Global Risks Forum – Bolivia Series as speakers, collaborators, and partners. This is a transformative opportunity to co-design anticipatory governance tools, culturally grounded finance models, and nature-based risk management systems aligned with Bolivia’s diverse ecological and cultural landscapes.\n
